Mission M108 Update
Mission M108 with hand operated rudder control system option
Lambert Aircraft Engineering is proud to
announce a revolutionary hand operated rudder control system for the Mission M108.
This will allow disabled
pilots with limited or no strength in their legs to fly the Mission M108. The system will make its
public debut at the FLYER Live show at Telford on 28th and 29th November, and will enter production
in January 2016.
What really makes this design revolutionary is the intuitive user interface through the central control
stick. A rudder & nosewheel deflection to the left is initiated by a natural stick displacement to
the left; right rudder is by a moving the stick to the right. Pulling back on the stick actuates the
wheel brakes. A motorcycle style twist grip on the stick serves as throttle control.
This makes flying the Mission M108 with hand controls completely intuitive, unlike several previous
generation aircraft that have been retrofitted with a fore-aft moving stick for rudder control.
The hand operated rudder control system can be installed in a standard nosewheel Mission M108.
A full range of options may be fitted, so disabled pilots who want to fly a state-of-the-art aircraft
with glass cockpit, a Rotax 912iS, airframe parachute and much more, now have that option in the
Mission M108. The high wing and large doors make access very easy and the baggage area is large enough
to accommodate a folded wheelchair plus luggage.
Mission M108 available with traditional style instruments
We are pleased to introduce an instrument panel of tradition form for the Mission M108.
This
will be of interest to pilots who prefer to see their flight parameters
displayed in a familiar 'analogue' style instead of the more current presentation
using instrument tapes.
This traditional presentation
is possible through the latest Garmin G3X Touch software, which allows the pilot to select the style
of the flight instruments presentation. This new feature is now available at no extra cost and without weight penalty.
At the same time all the great features, ease of use and reliability of the Garmin G3X Touch panel
remain available.
