Mission M108 Kit Description

For the private owner, an aircraft operating on a permit to fly offers significant advantages. However, European regulations currently do not allow permit category aircraft to be marketed as a ‘ready to fly’ fully factory-built aircraft. Therefore, the Mission M108 is available as a kit. There is a choice between a Standard Kit and an Advanced Kit with optional Build Assist Program. Both kits and the Build Assist Program are UK LAA approved.

Advanced Kit

The advantage of the Advanced Kit is that completion time is reduced down to the very minimum, as permitted by the regulations. The Advanced Kit is really the way to go for those people who can’t wait to fly their Mission M108. Typical completion time for an Advanced Kit is around 250 hours.

Advanced Kit with Build Assist Program

When choosing for the Build Assist Program, you can complete your Advanced Kit on the Mission M108 assembly line at the factory. With the Build Assist Program, the time spent building your Mission M108 kit can be as short as 3 weeks, whilst still complying with EASA 51% requirements. The Build Assist Program eliminates the need to set up your own home workshop with fixtures and specific tools. Professional factory supervision rules out chances for making mistakes and resulting lost time and wasted material. The Build Assist Option is ideally suited for people who have limited or no previous experience in building aircraft. With the Build Assist Program option, your Mission M108 aircraft will be delivered with a certificate of build quality, and be covered by a 2 year limited product warranty, (no difference with our fully factory-built aircraft).

Standard Kit

The Standard Kit is delivered with a lower pre-build level than the Advanced Kit. In other words, it goes off our assembly line at an earlier stage. Standard Kits do not have an optional Build Assist Program. The Standard Kit will be most appealing to people who have some previous experience with aircraft building. Nevertheless, it is not beyond the scope of a first time builder and could be your once in a lifetime opportunity to enjoy building your own aircraft. Typical completion time for a Standard Kit is around 500 hours.

Each Mission M108 kit is supplied as a complete package, except that seat & cabin upholstery is not included in the Standard Kit. Otherwise the contents are the same for the Standard and Advanced Kit; only the pre-build level is different. For more information, see the brochure Mission M108 Kit Concept.
